KEN WRIGHT CELLARS Pinot Noir, Yamhill-Carlton ‘McCrone Vineyard’ 2021

Approximately 15-20% new French oak was used on the 2021 McCrone Pinot Noir, giving it a lovely cinnamon spice component on the nose and on the palate. Presenting a glowing ruby red core with a silvery rim, aromas of bright Bing cherry, nectarine skin, sweet cinnamon stick, dusty earth, and shades of iron jump from the glass. Lush, elegant, and perfectly structured, this wine should drink well for the next decade or longer with proper cellaring. About 325 cases were produced. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
