The 2021 Red Wine from Klipsun is a mélange of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 34% Syrah, and 1% Cabernet Franc and was aged for 14 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Black cherry, blue plum, toasted cinnamon, mountain-dried herbs, potpourri, white peppercorn, and crushed slate. Tannins are chalky but well-balanced. I love the fruit and earth that sits perfectly on the mid-palate on the finish. Better in 2024. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
