ROCKWELL BROWN Red Blend, Red Mountain 2007

This now defunct winery has some pretty exceptional juice. This is a blend of 70% Cabernet with 24% Merlot and the rest Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The wine opens with delicious aromas of cassis, dill and blackberry. The expressive palate has flavors remiscent of black olive, blackberry and mocha. This is a wonderful effort and strikes a nice balance between fruit and structure. (Best 2015-2025) - November, 2015 (OB)
