An incredible Grenache by winemaker Paul Lato, the 2021 Ora et Labora Grenache exhibits a stunning neon ruby core with a bluish rim in the glass. The grapes are from 17-year-old vines, and it’s aged for 19 months in 25% new French oak. The nose starts strong and stays strong, with focused aromas of grilled red plums, crushed strawberries, dusty earth, crushed white peppercorn, and dried forest herbs. No rough edges are found on the palate, and despite the high levels of alcohol, the wine is perfectly balanced. Just four barrels produced. Highly recommended.
