All the Nebbiolo fruit for ‘Bricco Buon Natale’ was sourced from the famous Bien Nacido Vineyard located in the Santa Maria Valley. The 2005 is an absolutely outstanding effort by Jim Clendenen. It offers a gorgeous nose that displays lots of fresh red fruit, freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet spices, white pepper, cassis and black licorice which are all woven together nicely. After some air the wine blossoms with finesse and possesses tremendous balance. The fruit is ripe wand wrapped in silky tannins, which support the very long finish. An insanely beautiful wine that would easily stand up to top Nebbiolo's from Piedmont. Drink it now with some air or watch it evolve for years to come. (Best 2014-2026) - June, 2014 (MD)
