The 2015 Kitsuné is 100% Sangiovese from the Buhl Memorial Vineyard in Wilcox. The vines are up to 30 years old and situated at 4300 feet elevation. As this opens it delivers aromas of fresh strawberries, cherry and plum along side truffle, exotic spices, licorice and hints of savory herbs. This beautifully structured Sangiovese is balanced and focused, with a gorgeous velvety texture, backed by chewy tannins. It has delicious sweet red fruits, earth, and spices which continue to expand into the long, supple finish. While impressive now, this will benefit from a few years of bottle age.
