Sourced from the Rutherford Estate Vineyard and Dollarhide Estate Vineyard, the 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon begins with aromas of blackberries, cherries, spices, graphite, anise and hints of lightly toasted oak which all take shape in the glass. On the palate this possesses a medium-plus body with notable balance and structure, marked by a lovely touch of underlying acidity providing a lovely fresh character through the finish. The final blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot was aged in 100% French oak (27% new French oak) for 19 months.
