The lovely 2021 Nomad from Aperture spent 22 months in about 70% new French oak and sports a deep bluish-purple core with a lighter purple rim. It’s mostly Cabernet Franc (75%), with the rest being Merlot, and bursts with lively aromas of crushed candied blueberries, black plums, toasted herbs, peppercorn, and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, it finishes strong with elevated acidity and plush tannins. About 100 cases made. Highly recommended.
