The 2004 Madrona Ranch is composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remaining is a mix of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It displays a dark inky center but age has done it well and the edges are softer and deep ruby red. The nose has a rich aroma of cinnamon sugar, mahogany and berry liquor. The palate yields loads of dark berries including blueberry, boysenberry, and currant. Sugar plums also make an appearance along with a hint of oak. The finish goes on for nearly a minute.
