While this is still youthful and will benefit from another year or so in the bottle, the 2012 Entre Nous Cabernet Sauvignon from Kristine Ashe is undoubtedly a wine of outstanding quality. True to its vintage this blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Malbec, 8% PetitVerdot and 8% Merlot displays beautiful up front fruit. The nose offers aromas of warm cherry pie followed by ripe dark fruits and spices. On the palate this is rich and layered adding in another dimension of flavor with sugar plums, red berries and a hint of vanilla. The finish is long and mouth coating, with chocolate covered cherries lingering on. Winemaker Philippe Melka has crafted a beautiful wine that should continue to drink well for years to come.
