SEVEN STONES Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

This is a super complex and slightly less fruit forward then other 2012's tasted. As this continuously evolved in the glass, it began to release incredibly complex and powerful aromas of tobacco, black fruit, cedar, and hints of violets, to name a few. The palate was full of similar nuances along with dark bitter sweet chocolate and dark dark cherries. The tannins are still formidable and when they subside I imagine even more will appear. Very well put together wine and I expect it will only improve further with bottle age. (Best 2018-2030) - September, 2015 (VM)
