The best bottling of this impressive new release collection is the 2012 'Profile.' The wine was sourced exclusively from Merryvale's estate hillside Schlatter Family Estate Vineyard. This is a blend of 85% Cabernet and 15% Petit Verdot that comes with some very sexy labeling. Even more seductive is the rich aromas of green bell pepper, mocha, creme de cassis, anise and cedar. The wine yields dense flavors of mocha, blackberry preserves, anise, and creosote with hints of allspice. Gorgeous, round and firm with moderate to major tannins right now. This wine shows tremendous aging profile and really should not be enjoyed for at least another two years. This is up there with the best from this estate and showcases this fantastic vintage.
