HALL Cabernet Sauvignon 'The Bishop' 2013

This extreamly limited production wine from Hall is named after winemaker, Steve Leveque, whose last name translates in French to "The Bishop." This vintage is composed of a proprietary blend consisting of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, sourced from both Howell Mountain and the Rainin Vineyard in the Diamond Mountain District. This simply sensational wine opens beautifully to aromatics of ripe black fruits, mocha, sweet pipe tobacco, eucalyptus and folding in a herbal edge with hints of sage. The palate is viscous and intense with concentrated flavors of mocha, black cherry, roasted dates, crème de cassis and mint. This continues to impress with its remarkable range from start to finish and is drinking absolutely incredibly right now, but also shows wonderful aging potential as well. (Best 2017-2035) - September, 2016 (OB)
