The 2002 Oak Knoll District ‘Clone No.4’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a simply sensational wine from Tor Kenward, which has developed beautifully and is at a wonderful place in its evolution right now. This immediately impresses with a wonderful mix of both sweet and savory characteristics, consisting of cassis and dark cherries woven together with exotic spices, pepper, meat and sage all coming together to form the seductive aromas. On the plate the tannins have integrated seamlessly into this is full-bodied red, which is possesses a gorgeous soft, round texture leading to the lavish finish. With nearly two decades of age this is drinking remarkably well right now, and I expect it to continue to show well for another decade. (Best through 2024) - September, 2016 (JD)
