This great Cabenrnet was aged for 18 months in 75% new French oak prior to bottling. The dense colored wine begins with lovely aromatics of creme de cassis, mocha, creosote and black olive tapenade. This has dense fruit weight and a plush mouthfeel. Flavors of black olive, moxha, creme de cassis and coffee grounds persist, leading to a long and mineral driven finish. This is another fabulous effort frmo this estate. Be sure to give this a two hour decant if enjoying young. (Best 2017-2030) - May, 2017 (OB)
