The 2015 Spring Mountain Chardonnay from Smith-Madrone was aged for 10 months in 80% new French oak prior to bottling. This wine opens with a bright bouquet of peach pit, Pazzaz apple and honeydew melon. There is lovely balance as the wine offers a wonderful sense of place. Pink Lady apple, banana and creme brûlée flavors impress as they linger on the finish.
