The 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon includes a small percentage of Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot which was sourced from eight vineyards across the Valley. It was aged for 20 months in a combination of new French oak (40%), Hungarian and American oak. It begins with inviting aromas of ripe dark currants and black cherries woven together with spices, chocolate, espresso, tobacco and hints of loam all coming together and soaring from the glass. This possesses a lovely full body with a round, plush texture, which envelops the palate. It continues to show notable concentration as it delivers layers of ripe dark fruits and intense mocha flavors that expand through the voluptuous finish. Overall, this is a tasty Cabernet, which will be accessible early on.
