This blend of 80% Cabernet and 20% Syrah is aged partly in amphora and partly in neutral French oak barrel. Showcasing a medium purple core with a silvery rim, it pops with notes of fresh blackberry, honeyed blueberry compote, dried Italian herbs, wet overturned earth, and stony minerality. It’s totally different from any other Cabernet I’ve had from The Rocks District. There is a touch of earthiness and dried herbs on the finish that I adore.
