The 2021 Marjorie Vineyard Pinot Noir is made from the fruit of vines planted in 1994. With 40% stem inclusion during fermentation and 35% new French oak used during aging, it is a crunchy, spicy, and more brooding Pinot Noir than its siblings. A neon-ruby glowing core with a lighter purple rim in the glass, it’s earthy and spicy on the nose. Aromas of dark raspberry, boysenberry, licorice, toasted cinnamon stick, and dried thyme spill from the glass. Grippy tannins, lemony acidity, and crushed black-cherry fruit finish with loads of spice help complete this lovely wine. About 490 cases were produced. Highly recommended.
