With grapes coming from vines that were plated in the 1970s, this old-vine Pinot Noir, the ‘Cattrall Brothers’ from Big Table Farm, boasts a glistening medium neon ruby core with a blueish rim in the glass. Subtly floral on the nose to start, it increases in power and radiance with time, showcasing macerated strawberries, orange zest, cedary herbs, and just a hint of freshly grated clove. Tannins are silky smooth alongside the marked acidity. I loved the herbal and mineral note I got on the mid-palate on the finish. Just 125 cases produced. Highly recommended and editor’s choice.
