33% whole cluster was used during fermentation and then aged for 17 months in 18% new French oak, it sports a ruby-blue core with a fluorescent purple rim. Loads of blueberry fruit, plum skin, toasted anise, milk chocolate, and violet flower aromas spill from the glass. With perfect levels of acidity, sweet and crunchy tannins, and a lengthy finish, this one has the stuff to keep for a decade or more. Just 325 cases made.
