I’m a sucker for Syrah that comes from The Rocks District and this is a blend from that area and the Forgotten Hills vineyard. For only $40, this is a perfect wine that isn’t an every day price point, but just a step above. Consider it your week day night out wine - and it’s fantastic. It gives lots of dried blackberry, dried beef jerky, grapefruit pith, saline and black peppercorn along with medium plus acidity, silky tannins and a medium to full body. For the money, this wine is a winner.
