One-third whole cluster was used during fermentation of this 100% Syrah from the Southwind vineyard that showcases a medium to deep purple color in the glass and rests for 18 months in neutral oak barrels. The nose delivers that perfect Washington Syrah notes of fresh blackberry, cinnamon stick spice, charcuterie, black pepper, fresh tar, and a touch of black truffle. Medium-high acidity and medium silky tannins produce a wonderfully balanced wine with no rough edges and a yummy, fruity, and savory finish. Only a tiny 50 cases were produced. Highly recommended (if you can find a bottle!)
