The 2019 Pambrun Cabernet Sauvignon rests for 18 months in 62% new French oak barrels and displays a brooding dark purple core with a neon ruby rim in the glass. Fresh wild blackberry, powdered graphite, spiced black plum, black currant, wet earth, milk chocolate, and tobacco leaf notes are all present and wonderfully balanced. Medium to high acidity, grippy tannins, and a long fruit-forward finish complete the wine. Better in 2023, but then enjoy for a decade or more. 625 cases produced.
