The tech sheets didn’t specify what exactly is in this wine in terms of fruit, but it’s a delicious bottle of wine from the team at Cayuse for a very reasonable price for what you get. Aged for 21 months in 100% neutral French oak barrels, it boasts notes of dark cherries, blue plums, dried flowers, and noticeable peppercorn spice on the nose. Smooth tannins merge with the mouthwatering acidity and spicy finish that goes on for minutes. If bottles are still available, I recommend buying as many as you can and drinking them over the next 10 years or more. 587 cases made. Highly recommended.
