A mélange of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, and 8% Merlot make up the 2021 Walla Walla Cabernet from Valdemar. Aged for 19 months in 22% new French oak, it has an impressive bouquet of black currants, boysenberries, cassis, tobacco leaves, milk chocolate, and dried violets. This carries to a full-bodied, impressively textured, and expansive finish that will be better in 2025 after the tannins subside a bit. About 340 cases were produced. Highly recommended.
