GRAMERCY CELLARS Syrah 'The Deuce' 2013

The 2013 'The Deuce' Syrah is another strong new release from Gramercy. As this slowly opens and initially aromatically reticent, after an hour decant there yields a bouquet of bright aromas of smoked pork shoulder, violets, tar, blackberry cobbler and bacon fat. This leads to flavors of black olive, black cherry, anise, blueberry pie and smoked brisket. Wonderful range of flavors by Gramercy. The weight and texture is beautiful here.
