Composed of 77% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 7% Malbec, this is a nice showing from a consistently high quality producer. Aromas of fresh sawdust, blackberry pie and tar are followed by rich flavors of black currants, vanilla, cocoa powder and black pepper. Tannin structure is quite firm, especially for the high percentage of Merlot. (Best 2017-2022) - September, 2017 (JH)
