This is a new Syrah project form winemaker Matt Reynvaan. As this slowly begins to unwind, it reveals aromatics reminiscent of Meyer lemon blossom, umami, bacon fat, pipe tobacco, black olives and black cherry syrup. Silky and round on the palate, this wine showcases black tea, cigar box, orange zest and black winter truffle flavors that connect with notable minerality. The salinity and structure of the wine are outstanding as this shows gorgeous range. While delicious now, this outstanding effort will be best enjoyed over the next decade.
