The 2014 Ciel du Cheval was aged for 20 months in 40% new French oak prior to bottling. It possesses fantastic aromas with red cherry, sagebrush, red bell pepper and loganberry jam. Downright delicious, the mid-palate is layered with black fruits and crème de cassis which mingle with herbs and mocha flavors which persist through the finish. (Best 2017-2030) - November, 2017 (OB)
