The 2016 'Ankleroller Block Stoney Vine Vineyard' Syrah starts off with Umami, horse manure, blood orange puree and bright guava on the nose. The aromatics bring you back to the glass for more. The palate shows nice acidity and has a silky mouthfeel. Bright bing cherry, orange zest, pomegranate seed and wet stone flavors provide an exotic feel. Showing remarkable range, this gorgeous effort is best enjoyed in the next eight to ten years while the acidity remains sterling.
