This limited production Pinot Noir is sourced from vines set on volcanic soils from a vineyard first planted in 1973. As it begins to open it releases rich aromatics of guava puree, black cherry, black tea and pomegranate seed. There are ripe flavors of black cherry, black raspberry, eucalyptus, forest floor and strawberry jam. Fruity and mineral driven, this shows wonderful range. While exceedingly delicious now, this wine will show beautifully for at least another decade. (Best 2017-2027) - April, 2017 (OB)
