It is rare to find a white wine that expresses so many enticing flavors from the grape itself while marrying, not obscuring, those flavors with just the right amount of nuances from the French Oak. It is reminiscent of Chardonnay at its most interesting. Don’t serve this too cold - think white Burgundy temperature. Expect beautiful aromatics of lemon pound cake, banana bread, vanilla, floral, hazelnut, marzipan, apricot, and Old-World minerality. Delicate, exquisitely lovely, and bright it speaks quietly but has a lot to say. Settle in and enjoy a good long conversation that will keep you interested until the end. You need some to drink now and some to cellar so the discovery continues. (Best 2017-2023) - June, 2017 (JH)
