With a muted ruby-blue core with a glistening ruby-pink rim, the 2021 Limited Grenache by Trothe is another outstanding effort that gifts bountiful notes of black raspberries, toasted walnut shells, dark chocolate, and boysenberry that play center stage. Pink peppercorn, white tobacco leaf, and forest herbs aromas and flavors play a supporting role. This all carries to a medium to full-bodied, gorgeous textured, and seamless Grenache that has perfect levels of acidity, crunchy sweet tannins, and an outstanding earthy, black licorice and blue plum finish. Only 36 cases made. Highly recommended.
