Th2 2012 'Michael Andrews Reserve' is an excellent wine, primarily composed old-block Cabernet Sauvignon (planted in 1994) with smaller parts Tempranillo and Graciano. The wine was aged in small American oak barrels prior to bottling. Black tea, black raspberry liquor and cigar box aromatics entice. The palate is round and showing nice poise and definition, as this moves seamlessly across the palate leaving behind flavors reminiscent of black cherry reduction, coffee grounds, sagebrush and hints of orange rind. Intriguing and generous, enjoy this excellent wine over the next seven plus years. (Best 2017-2025) - August, 2017 (OB)
