The Kalita Vineyard is located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Showing less new French oak than most other Panther Creek wines, this begins with bright red fruit aromatics with a touch of blood orange that rounds out the nose. There is a beautiful astringency to this wine, which reveals medium weight fruit of red currant, red cherry preserves, and a touch of Asian spice. Balanced and highly poised, enjoy this outstanding wine over the next decade or so.
