TENDRIL CELLARS Pinot Noir 'Tight Rope' 2011

This wine is comprised of 74% Yamill-Carlton fruit and 26% Eola Hills fruit. It saw 14 months in 75% new French oak prior to bottling in March 2013. The Pinot begins with aromas reminiscent of red currant, red cherry, lavender and raspberry. This leads to flavors of mushroom, red cherry and forest floor in this earthy and highly impressive effort from a cold vintage. This is a Burgundian style wine that is meant to sip and savor. The acid structure will last well into the next decade but it is hard to resist now. Only 100 cases made of this elegant wine. (Best 2015-2025) - November, 2015 (OB)
