Southeast facing, at 250-400 ft. elevation, the Lone Star vineyard is known for producing some of the best Pinot in the valley. On September 18th, the crew at Argyle picked the best blocks of Lone Star Pinot Noir fruit prior to the torrential rains, which was hugely important in capturing the rich fruit flavors of this wine. This impressive Pinot begins with aromas of black truffle, black cherry and raspberry. Flavors of cran-cherry, pomegranate, crimini mushroom and blackberry combine for this silky textured treat. This is absolutely beautiful Burgundian style Pinot. (Best 2015-2025) - December, 2015 (OB)
