BIG TABLE FARM Pinot Noir, Cattrall Brothers Vineyard 2013

The Cattrall brothers grow organic Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Muscat in the Eola Hills. Bill Catrall's vineyard (small, 5.5 acres) was planted from 1972 through 2008 utilizing cuttings (Wadensil) from David Adelsheim, while Tom's Vineyard (even smaller, 3 acres) was planted in 1983 utilizing Wädenswil clones. The Pinot has aromas of black truffle, forest floor, raspberry and cherry starburst. There are flavors of red raspberry, black truffle, cran-pomegranate, and with a lingering finish. The subtleties here are brilliant as this wine has beautiful balance and structure. (Best 2016-2026) - January, 2016 (OB)
