DOMAINE DROUHIN Pinot Noir 'Laurene' 2013

The 2013 'Laurene' Pinot Noir from Domaine Drouhin was aged in 20% new French oak and is a gorgeous wine which begins with pretty aromatics of red raspberries, red currants, red cherries laced with black truffle accents. The palate is rich, displaying a wonderful texture and yielding ripe flavors of cranberry, pomegranate, orange rind and hints of forest floor. Structured and balanced, this elegant style Pinot Noir will cellar well over the next decade. This is certinaly one of the most compelling 'Laurene' bottlings I have tasted. (Best 2017-2030) - February, 2017 (OB)
