The 2014 Evening Land ‘Anden’ Pinot Noir is sourced from the Seven Springs Vineyard, featuring Pommard clones which were planted in 1984. This stunning Pinot Noir opens with an utterly captivating bouquet of black cherries, cranberries and pomegranate along with teaberry and traces of forest floor. As it continues to unwind, it develops some lovely secondary aromatics of pipe tobacco and wild mushrooms which further enhance the already stunning aromatic profile. Dense and more masculine than the ‘La Source’ bottling, this Pinot Noir continues to impress with its excellent overall balance and complex profile though the long and lingering finish. This is memorable Pinot Noir, which should continue to provide pleasure for many years to come. (Best 2017-2030) - March, 2017 (OB)
