The 2015 'Pelos Sandberg' Pinot Noir from Big Table Farm is another gorgeous wine made by winemaker Brian Marcy. The Pelos Sandberg Vineyard is an Eola-Amity Hills site, which is farmed by Don Sandberg. As this gorgeous Pinot Noir begins to open it releases aromas of guava puree, ripe strawberry, cherry pie, blood orange and suggestions of mulling spices. Seductive and silky on the mid-palate, the wine yields flavors reminiscent of black cherries, black raspberry liquor, sandalwood, black truffles, kumquat, crushed wet gravel, peat moss and pomegranate seed. The flavor range and sterling minerality translate to another utterly compelling Pinot Noir from Big Table Farm. (Best 2017-2028) - April, 2017 (OB)
