The 2014 Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is currently showing a wonderful range of earthy aromatics, which instantly burst through with characteristics of forest floor, black truffle and pine needles along with black cherry and cranberry expressions. On the palate this is both elegant and intense as it possesses wonderful texture and weight, along with rich flavors reminiscent of Mandarin orange rind, red berries and black truffle oil. There is a gorgeous seamless quality to this elegant wine, as it effortlessly glides through to a long, mineral driven finish, laced with red and black fruits. If approaching young, it would be best to all extended air contact for all the flavors to take shape. (Best 2017-2029) - April, 2017 (OB)
