OWEN ROE Pinot Noir 'The Kilmore' 2014

The 2014 ‘Kilmore’ Pinot Noir was sourced Lenne Vineyard and Merriman Vineyard in the Yamhill Carlton AVA. These two vineyards are planted on a combination of Peavine silty clay loam, Panther silty clay loam, WillaKenzie silty clay loam, and Hazelair silty clay loam soils. The wine was aged 8 months in 34% new French oak prior to bottling. There are lovely earthy aromatics of black truffle, peat moss, black cherry preserves, and wild blackberry. This leads to flavors reminiscent of black cherry, black raspberry liquor and black truffle sauce. Overall this showcases an impressive combination of gorgeous dark fruits and terroir.
