SAFFRON FIELDS Pinot Noir 'Dijon Clones' 2014

The 2014 'Dijon Clones' Pinor Noir is crafted by winemaker Tony Rynders and is sourced from Dijon Clones 115 and 777. As the wine begins to open it  reveals aromas of black tea, black truffle and wild blackberry, with an aromatic profile that is considerably darker than their 'Yamhill-Carlton' Pinot. Round and generous on the palate, the plush texture grips is quite inviting, yeilding flavors of black tea, blackberry pie, peat moss and suggestions of allspice. Enjoy this excellent Pinot Noir over the next decade. (Best 2017-2027) - October, 2017 (OB)
