The 2021 Medlock Ames 'The Flag' is composed of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec. This displays a notable opaque purple color and aromatics of dark cherries, cassis, violets, gravel, graphite shavings and wild sage nuances all emerging from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully layered with an expressive core of fresh dark/red fruits that resonate through the wine. It goes on to display a wonderful combination of fruit and acidity, that is framed by well-rounded tannins which nicely frame the finish.
