APERTURE Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County 2021

This outstanding blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, 3% Malbec, and 1% Cabernet Franc saw 55% new French oak for a total of 18 months. A deep purple-blue core with a neon rim is showcased beautifully in the glass. Resonant notes of crushed mountain blueberries, sweet boysenberries, cedary herbs, and crushed cinnamon sticks, with shades of tobacco leaves, and sweet milk chocolate, are all present and combined perfectly together. Medium to full-bodied, it shines with radiant acidity and plush tannins, which completes the lengthy finish. About 4400 cases made. Better in 2025. Highly recommended.
