Van der Kamp Vineyard lies at the very top of Sonoma Mountain, at a 1,400 foot elevation and is possibly the oldest planting of Pinot Noir in the state, planted in the early 1950s. Samantha Sheehan has crafted a beautiful Pinot Noir from this vineyard in 2014 which is all about elegance and class, as it delivers lovely aromas of red fruits, spices, floral, minerals hints of clementine, all coming together beautifully in this gorgeous Pinot Noir. This dazzles on the palate with its seamless texture and incredible round, silky tannins making for a luxurious mouthfeel thats lasts through the finish. This is showing extremely well upon release and should continue to age gracefully with additional bottle age. (Best 2017-2028) - February, 2017 (JD)
