LANDMARK VINEYARDS Pinot Noir 'Overlook' 2014

Landmark produces roughly 25,000 cases each year which includes Pinot Noir, Grenache, Syrah and Chardonnay. The 2014 Landmark 'Overlook' Pinot Noir is another great effort from this estate. This excellent Pinot is a blend of vineyard sites in (53%) Sonoma County, (39%) Monterey County, (8%) San Benito County. This wine begins with aromas of black plum, cherry cola and black raspberry. There are flavors of spicebox, red cherry, guava puree, cherry cola and boysenberry accents. Kudos to Landmark head winemaker, Greg Stach, as this is a very solid effort that exemplifies fruity, yet balanced Sonoma Pinot. (Best 2016-2025) - April, 2016 (OB)
