The 2010 Ornellaia is absolutely sensational, it has wonderful elegance, but also shows incredible depth with layer upon layer of gorgeous blackberries and dark cherries followed by dark roasted coffee, spices, leather and fresh violets. Impressive for its impeccable balance, finesse and purity of fruit as all the components to this wine work in harmony and come together beautifully on the ultra-long finish. This outstanding Ornellaia is composed of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot 4% Cabernet franc and 4% Petit Verdot and a superb showing for the 25th anniversary bottling.
